Randy Irion, Director, Channel Marketing

 

When Randy joined the National Cattlemen's Beef Association in 2000, he brought with him a wealth of meat experience from his years at Swift and ConAgra. While working his way up to Vice President of Marketing at ConAgra, he worked on new product development, helping to launch products like Butterball cold cuts and hotdogs as well as Healthy Choice processed meats.

Randy initially joined NCBA as a new products team consultant focused on helping manufacturers launch heat and serve beef entrees. Since joining the Retail Marketing Team, he has spearheaded important checkoff-funded promotions such as the Summer Grilling campaign. He has also implemented additional communications vehicles as a means to quickly and easily share retail marketing information with the appropriate audiences. Those efforts include improving the BeefRetail.org website and developing the retail newletters Retail Beef Blast and Beef Fast Facts.

Randy received his marketing degree from Northern Illinois University and resides with his wife, Francesca, in Elmhurst, Illinois. He can be reached at ririon@beef.org.
